Collaboration. Innovation. Discovery.

Anchor 1

On behalf of the entire UCLES committee for 2023-24, I am honoured to welcome you to the UCL Engineering Society! We are the largest collaborative partnership at UCL, bringing together 11 societies and 5,000+ active members, making UCLES the most extensive and populous STEM society on campus.

Our mission is simple:

UCLES strives to unite various disciplines and organisations to provide innovative opportunities and insights for UCL STEM students. We endeavour to empower them to forge their careers in the most competitive fields. These cutting-edge and prestigious industries are technology, engineering, finance, law, consulting and beyond.

From our founding in 2018, we have had unparalleled outreach and growth at UCL and across the country. Our track record of excellence is fortified by winning awards like the coveted ‘Overall Society of the Year’ and ‘Gold Development Society Award’ from the UCL Union, as well as being nominated for the National Engineering Talent Award. These were bestowed to us for hosting a plethora of highly prosperous events, ranging from our flagship London 2050 conference, hackathons, employer presentations to a span of impactful partner workshops and insight days. Our socials further add to our success, including the largest luxurious UCL Ball, popular trivia/game nights and freshers’ mixers.

As President, I am fortunate for our past accomplishments and fruitful partnerships. It establishes my resolve to ensure our 2023-24 committee exceeds that high benchmark in every way. This is because I recognise the gift this society has to offer, with its ability to help members evolve, unite and fulfil their potential. Complacency has never been a hallmark of myself or UCLES, thus exceeding expectations for our members and partners alike to deliver high-quality events, ambitious engineering projects, and exclusive opportunities is our objective for the year.

- Anniereetha Moses,

UCL Engineering Society President 2023/2024
